Individuals may qualify under the SINP International Skilled Worker - Employment Offer Category if they live outside of Canada or have proof of legal status in Canada, are not a refugee claimant and meet the following criteria:

• Score a minimum of 60 points on the point assessment grid
• Have a minimum of one-year work experience
• Have a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4
• Obtain proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure
• Have an offer of full-time employment in occupation under one of the NOC skills level 0,A,B or in a designated trade in Saskatchewan
• Provide language proficiency test results (if applicable)

Individuals may qualify under the SINP International Skilled Worker Category - Occupations In-Demand Category if they live outside of Canada or have proof of legal status in Canada, are not a refugee claimant and meet the following criteria:

• Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid;
• Have a language score of at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4;
• Have completed post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship that’s comparable to the Canadian education system of at least one year in length. You should have earned a diploma, certificate or degree with this;
• Have at least one-year work experience in the past 10 years:
  • In your field of education or training occupation, and
  • In a high skilled occupation in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) 0, A or B that’s in-demand in Saskatchewan.
• Show proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure, if your intended occupation is in a regulated profession or compulsory apprenticeship trade;
• Have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan.

The Saskatchewan Express Entry Category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. The SINP can nominate individuals that are in Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Express Entry pool through this category. A nomination from the SINP gives candidates enough points to receive an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residency through the Express Entry system. Candidates must have the education, skilled work experience, language ability and other factors to help them to successfully establish and integrate into Saskatchewan’s Labor market and communities.

Eligible applicant has to submit an online profile on Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Express Entry system and get accepted into the Express Entry pool. Then apply online to the SINP for nomination. The SINP reviews the application and if approved, the SINP will enter the details of the nomination into CIC’s Express Entry system and send a nomination letter to you explaining the next steps. With the additional 600 points for a nomination, it is likely that an invitation to apply for permanent residency from CIC will be received.

Eligibility Requirements
You may apply under the Saskatchewan Express Entry Category if you live outside of Canada or you have proof of legal status in Canada and you meet the following criteria:

1. Have been accepted into CIC’s Express Entry pool
2. Score a minimum of 60 points on the SINP point assessment grid
3. Provide language test results from a designated testing agency
4. Have completed a minimum of one year of post-secondary education
5. Have a minimum level of work experience related to your field of education or training
6. Work experience is in a high skilled occupation NOC “0”, “A” or “B”
7. Have proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure
8. Have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan

Accompanying Dependents
You must list all dependents on your application to the SINP whether or not they are coming to Canada with you. Accompanying dependents include:

• Spouse
• Common-law partner
• Dependent children who
  1. Are under the age of 19 and do not have a spouse or common-law partner; and/or
  2. Have depended on your financial support because of a mental or physical condition

The Existing Work Permit Category allows skilled workers, who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months under a valid temporary work permit issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to apply for permanent residence under the SINP. Please not that in order to apply under the Existing Work Permit Category, you must meet the additional requirements.

The Health Professions Category is for foreign-trained health professionals, who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months under a temporary work permit, to apply for permanent residence under the SINP.

If you are not currently employed in Saskatchewan, you need to contact the appropriate organization to determine what further studies, examinations and/or certifications you need to qualify for jobs in Saskatchewan.

The Health Profession category is divided into three streams:

1. Physicians
2. Nurses
3. Other Health Professions

Employers must receive approval from the SINP to participate in the project before the foreign worker begins working for the employer. The SINP will not accept applications from hospitality sector employees who begin working for the employer prior to their employer receiving SINP approval.

Under the Hospitality Sector Project category, foreign workers who are currently working in Saskatchewan on a temporary work permit supported by Service Canada's Labor Market Impact Assessment can apply for nomination by the SINP if they have been working for an approved employer for the past six months, at minimum, and are in one of the following occupations:

• Food/Beverage Server
• Food Counter Attendant/Kitchen Helper
• Housekeeping/Cleaning Staff

Workers in these categories must first begin working in Saskatchewan on a temporary foreign work permit for a company that has been approved by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). If an approved business offers the worker permanent employment, after a minimum of 6 months employment the worker may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status.

The SINP Long Haul Truck Driver Project category allows Saskatchewan trucking firms to bring truckers to the province under Service Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker policy for occupations requiring a high school diploma or on-the-job training.

The project was developed in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Trucking Association, Service Canada (SC) and Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to attract long-haul truck drivers to Saskatchewan.

Long haul truck drivers must first begin working in Saskatchewan for an approved trucking firm on a temporary foreign work permit. If an approved trucking firm offers them permanent employment, after a minimum of 6 months employment they may apply to the SINP for permanent resident status.

The SINP will accept a maximum number of applications in each calendar year. According to Application Intake Thresholds as of September 28, 2015, the remaining 223 applications will be accepted by the SINP in 2015 under the Long Haul Truck Drivers stream.

The Student Category allows students who have graduated from a recognized postsecondary educational institution to apply for permanent residence through the SINP.

The Student Category is for:

• Students who have graduated from a recognized post–secondary educational institution in Saskatchewan
• Students who have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.

In order to apply under one of these categories, applicants have to meet certain requirements. Please be advised the SINP is subject to a nomination limit set by the federal government. The ability to be nominated is affected by these constraints and program criteria. No application is guaranteed to be accepted and/or nominated.
